Welcome to Diamond

A multi faceted group of social enterprise companies with the primary aim to create new employment opportunities for the long-term unemployed.

Since January 2010 we have been working with facilities managers, social enterprise co-ordinators and HR departments. Diamond has provided work opportunities for 75 people in the Charity, Private and Public Sectors. Employment opportunities have included commercial PAT Testing (via our own training scheme), Work experience placements, apprenticeships and voluntary work.

Financial assistance has primarily been provided by a government scheme called Future Jobs Fund (withdrawn in March 2011). Individuals were employed at a national minimum wage to encourage and foster work ethics, skills for the future and for the benefit of the community. Funding has also been provided by the lottery and various other grants.

Diamond is now working with KCC on the vulnerable learners apprenticeship scheme and is hoping to expand and create more opportunities in the future.

Diamond’s goal over the coming month’s is to put the company on a more commercial footing by continuing to market our PAT testing service, thereby securing it’s future, giving it’s workforce a sense of pride and the income to create more employment opportunities in Kent. 100% of the money generated via PAT testing is reinvested in the company.

Diamond welcomes the opportunity to provide contract services, work experience placements or employment opportunities with Kent based organisations while at the same time helping them put their Corporate and social responsibility policies into practice for the benefit of our community. Recognition is acknowledged to these companies on our partner’s page, who all play a vital role in helping to develop and foster our wider community.
